Lockheed Martin is seeking a water treatment specialist for an OCONUS assignment. International travel is required for this position. Duties include:
Responsibilities will include:
Maintain and operate two wells, pumps, Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU) water treatment system and parallel sewage package treatment plant
Monitor and operate Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA systems) in addition to wells, ROWPU and sewage and fire-water distribution systems
Backwash water treatment filters as required
Connect chemical and monitor dosage rate
Coordinate periodic testing of water supply in accordance with US drinking water standards
Coordinate with sludge agencies for testing of water quality as required by local government

Coordinate sludge removal at sewage plant periodically as required
Monitor sewage plant outflow to meet standards for discharge into base storm water drainage system
Monitor levels of supplies required and recorder when necessary
Practice and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, and other required regulations
Basic Qualifications
Must have a Class I water treatment and Class I wastewater treatment license for any state
Must have basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting skills
Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver's license
Must be able to work well with public as well as with co-workers
Must be a self-starter and work independently with no or minimum guidance and be willing to listen and work with others
Better than average written and verbal communication skills
Willing to work long hours including include weekends
Willingness to work rotational shifts including days, evenings, midnights, holidays and weekends, as required
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures - hot and cold, indoors and outdoors
Must be able to lift 70 pounds
Must be able to travel internationally
