Circuit Design Engineer / Integrated Circuits / VLSI Engineer / CMOS / Goleta, CA
Lockheed Martin's Santa Barbara Focalplane business is seeking an experienced integrated circuit design department lead to provide direction and leadership to our world-class team to help advance the state-of-the art in infrared and visible imager read-out integrated circuits (ROICs). This lead role will include responsibilities in hands-on IC design as well as team and project management. Significant experience with all phases of mixed signal VLSI CMOS transistor level design, proven project and personnel management experience, manpower planning, presentation preparation and delivery, budget and schedule generation, and proposal preparation is required. The ideal candidate is a recognized leader in IC design and is able to direct, lead, and inspire an expanding design team.

The Locale: Goleta is a city in southern Santa Barbara County, California. Goleta is part of the central coast region of California and offers lots of great scenery and is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is known primarily for agriculture and tourism. Major crops include wine grapes, lettuce, strawberries, and artichokes. Goleta is near the University of California, Santa Barbara campus. Much of Goleta is considered to be a quiet suburban community while Santa Barbara tends to attract most of the tourists and the area's residents. Goleta is about 8 miles west of the city of Santa Barbara, along the coast (the coast runs east to west in this portion of southern California). Where can you drive to from Goleta? Goleta is 2 hours northwest of Los Angeles. San Francisco is about 5 hours to the north of Goleta. Las Vegas, NV is about 5 hours to the northeast.
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least 14 years of professional experience.
-Exceptional communication and presentation skills with peers and senior leaders is required.
-Extensive experience with team and project leadership, as well as mixed signal VLSI CMOS transistor level design, simulation, and physical layout is required.
-Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be a U.S. Citizen.
-Work schedule will be Monday - Thursday, 10 hours/day.
-Experience with system engineering, test engineering, and advanced ROIC/FPA concept development is desired.
-Proficient with Cadence Design Systems IC design tools (layout, LVS, DRC, Schematic, digital analog simulations, HDL design & synthesis). MATLAB programming.
-Familiarity with BiCMOS design a plus.
-Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
