Application Support Engineer/ System Integration Analyst / Orlando, FL

The Applications Support Engineer will join a cohesive team of engineers and IT professionals that work behind the scenes to ensure our over 150+ applications are running smoothly. This is an overhead position that supports multiple internal customers. This position is not tied to any contracts, so you are a permanent fixture on a well- established team. In this role you will plan, implement, test, document, and maintain enterprise-wide engineering application software using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Experience or aptitude for software license management products such as FlexLM, Elan, HASP, or Sentinel, or FlexNet Manager is a plus. In this role, you will analyze and identify all or part of existing software systems and requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs of our engineering customers. This role requires scripting ability utilizing languages such as PowerShell, PERL, Python, C#, and Linux shell scripts. Some coding ability would be a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Server and Linux operating systems. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, and ensures integration of the applications with the engineering environment.

Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications
Experience with Windows and Linux scripting using languages such as PERL, Python, PowerShell, and shell scripting.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level

Desired skills
Experience with software license management.

Experience with installation and maintenance of COTS engineer software packages.

Experience with automation of software installations.
Programming experience a plus.
