Aircraft Mechanic I - C-130 Structures
The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft
structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing,
pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and
heating systems. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds
aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional
components including rigging, surface controls, using hand tools,
power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet
metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. This
worker reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's
maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data,engineering data, and other specifications to determine
feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or
Must have a minimum of 5 years structural maintenance
experience. This mechanic must have a thorough knowledge of
aircraft structural and mechanical systems and must be able to
apply knowledge to solve moderate to complex problems or
malfunctions. The candidate must be able to interpret technical
orders, blueprints, or other written guidance to accomplish
repairs, replacement or modification of structural components.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.
