Test & Evaluation Pilot-C-130 aircrew qualification & mission exp.

Description:This position reports directly to the C-130J MATS Deputy Program Manager and tests C-130J Maintenance and Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs). Performs/analyzes pre-certification checks and supports all government annual/semi-annual aircrew training device and maintenance training device certifications and re-certifications. Performs testing and rechecks on all device discrepancies in order to prevent and/or correct training restrictions. Coordinates and performs the QA testing of Design Changes/Certification Discrepancies prior to Government Software Load acceptance. Responsible for working closely with Configuration Management personnel to ensure correct software versions are installed/utilized at all times. Maintains and tracks all Design Change (DC) requests. Subject Matter Expert for Software and Visual Engineers, Configuration Management, and US Government customers.
This candidate may fly on local training flights under the observation of an Air Force Instructor Pilot and shall meet ground training level four requirements under AFI 11-2C-130J. The candidate may accomplish takeoff, precision, non-precision, circling, and missed approaches, full-stop landings, touch-and-go landings, simulated emergencies, and other standard maneuvers (not including tactical mission maneuvers) required to compare simulator handling characteristics to that of the actual aircraft. The candidate is not required to maintain aircraft currency or qualification requirements but shall comply with the physiological training requirements of AFI 11-403 and shall possess a current FAA Class II physical.
Recent C-130 aircrew qualification & mission experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
Must be capable of attaining a SECRET clearance.
Technical writing and knowledge of Microsoft Access and Project desired.
