Test Engineering Intern - Ocala, FL

Description:Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that build circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1200 employees and provides products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

Candidate must be pursuing a 4 year engineering degree from an accredited college or university. Candidate must be able to read electrical schematics, conduct device level troubleshooting of electrical test failures, write technical instructions, and read and interpret C/C++ programs.

Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields. Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.

This position will be located at a facility that requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's Electrical Engineering degree program or related discipline.
Desired Skills:
Minimum 3.0 GPA

Experienced with Microsoft Office (POWERPOINT, ACCESS, WORD, EXCEL).

Knowledge of electrical devices, circuit analysis techniques, common electrical test instruments, software development C/C++, database development and management, technical writing, and teaming.

Strong written & verbal communication skills
