The Manager will lead electrical Test Engineers, Staff engineers and SME to support multiple IWSS-RMS programs.
Responsible for providing overall program support and leadership regarding all integration and test aspects of unique Radar systems and subcomponents. The manager will lead and coordinate his engineering team support to meet Program and Operations commitments.
The manager will be responsible for the following:
1.) Identify the costs and resources for continuous implementation of technology and process improvements.
2.) Coordinates and manages Production Array Level Integration and Test efforts.
3.) Provides operations input to the development of engineering test requirements while overseeing the development of test equipment fabrication to support the final verification processes
4.) Provides input during proposal and capture phases of programs to support operations Integration and Test efforts.
5.) Provides insight and expertise to anomalies found during the integration and test process and aides in root cause and corrective action efforts.
6.) Assesses need for and assigns personnel to various field support efforts.
7.) Oversight/coordination of the ongoing interaction and exchange of technical information among all responsible organizations.
8.) Participate in critical design and data reviews as well as SIA events to provide valuable feedback to program partners.
9.) Assess the need for and implement capital projects to support test efficiencies and test equipment modernization.
10.) Coordinate, budget, and execute equipment support and maintenance plans for capital and contract test equipment.
11.) Engages cross-function or cross-program partners to share ideas and knowledge to support Engineering Design Model and IRAD programs as required.
12.) Develops engineering and test engineering talent to cultivate an inclusive integration and test environment.
13.) Support capture manager in programmatic meetings as required; e.g, Bid/No-bid, make/buy, INAR, EPPs
14.) Write and administer performance appraisals for represented employees.
15.) Develop/Update, proof, and release test methods and software.
16.) Coordinate test equipment calibration/maintenance for approximately 700 pieces of calibrated equipment.
17.) Support the IWSS Suggestion Review Board as the Test Engineering representative.
20.) Manage Environmental Stress Screening Lab for production, engineering, and other LM site customers.
20.) Provide management across shifts and weekends.
At least 10 years overall technical experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead groups of multi-disciplined test engineers, SME and staff engineers.
Ability to accept responsibility, exercise authority and be held accountable for the assigned system demonstrated through previous on-time, on-budget delivery meeting technical requirements.
Demonstrate a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Demonstrated strong communications skills.
Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Demonstrated adherence to high ethical standards and conduct; Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership.
Radar systems test experience.
Qualified candidate must be able to obtain an Interim Secret DoD Security Clearance prior to starting this position.
Knowledge and experience in the design of RADAR and RF systems.
2. Experience with solid state radar systems
3. Experience with RF and digital testing of radar system sub-assemblies and systems.
4. Experience with environmental stress screening of RF, digital, and power supply assemblies and sub-assemblies.
5. Experience with depot level operations supporting multiple customers (Army, Navy, Air Force and foreign customers).
6. Experience with development of test software in various languages (LabView, Visual Basic, MatLab, HTBasic, and C++).
BS in engineering with at least 10 years overall technical experience or MS in engineering with at least 8 years overall technical experience.
