Description: This requisition is for a Senior Level Test Engineer. This position requires knowledge and experience working with digital and analog electronic circuits, automated test equipment, and software in a manufacturing environment. The individual must have the necessary skills to develop test procedures and methodologies for both digital and analog hardware utilizing Special Test Equipment (STE). The candidate will be responsible for supporting development hardware testing, leading the integration of development hardware into a production test environment, and developing a sustainment plan to maintain testability through a product's life cycle. Throughout the life of a product the applicant will be engaged in creating and analyzing Program Trouble Reports (PTRs) and driving appropriate software/hardware updates to optimize Product Test performance.
The candidate will be responsible for developing test plans, and executing those plans against the corresponding test procedures. The applicant will be accountable for the development, release, and maintenance of test procedures. Other responsibilities include STE certification and calibration.
Personal characteristics must include dependability, flexibility, adaptability, a self-starter requiring minimal direct supervision, the ability to work both individually and as part of a team, as well as being able to interact and work well with LM employees and internal customers.
This is primarily a second shift position. However, any candidate submitted should be prepared, on occasion and driven by business needs, plan for working an alternate work schedule which could contain 1st or 3rd shift hours and/or weekend work.
Desired Skills: SAP, Prop, Microsoft Office Products, and EPDM. Ability to do presentations for Senior Leadership as required.
Perform "Root Cause Analysis" on System, Unit, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and at the component level. Analyze the Test System with respect to hardware and software related issues. Perform modification to a variety of programming languages (ex; LabView, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, and assembly languages in Unix and Windows environments) will be required. Individual will be required to generate Program Release Notices (PRN's) and software requirements documentation. Proficient in writing WBOE's with back-up justification. Authoring Procedural, and software requirements documentation. Adherence to Quality Procedures within the Product Test organization.
