Technical Editor/Writer Sr (Proposals)

Description: Working with Proposal and Program Managers, the Technical Editor is responsible for development and production of proposals and other technical documents in response to Government RFPs.
-Ensures that documents and development follow the documented internal processes and guides.
-Checks author's input for consistency, spelling, grammar and content problems (e.g., page count requirements, missing instructions or sections; redundant or unnecessary materials).
-Conducts quality reviews of materials and ensures the highest quality for all formal program deliveries.

Must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship required.
Desired Skills: Experience editing technical documentation in the aerospace field.

Prior experience with Government proposals.

Some commercial proposal experience would be a plus.

SharePoint administrator skills and experience.

Current TS/SCI very desirable
Candidates must be able to write, rewrite and/or edit new business proposals and technical documents to communicate clearly, effectively and persuasively to a wide range of audiences.

Candidates must be able to work quickly and accurately, under tight deadlines with changing priorities.

Must have good interpersonal and team skills to work effectively with authors, supporting staff and other organizations to meet milestones.

Candidates must have expert skills and experience in MS Office applications and be familiar with graphics applications.

The successful candidate must have experience in publications processes and editorial standards, with a background project managing, producing and coordinating large, complex documents through production and reproduction.

Must be available to work extended hours and travel as necessary to other SSC sites to provide support for multiple proposals and program projects at those facilities to meet customer requirements.
