Systems Integration/Test Engineer Intern

Join the team that is responsible for the Assembly, Test, and Launch of a major satellite systems. Opportunities include supporting certified test conductors of system and subsystem mechanical and electrical testing, assembly, and transport operations. Work closely with technical experts and test support staff to meet the needs of the programs. Opportunities also include electrical and environmental stress testing of subsystems at the box and board levels; operate and troubleshoot automated test equipment; develop and review test procedures; work with mechanical and electrical ground support equipment; preparing and executing Technical Interchange Meetings and pre-test meetings.
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required for this role.
Basic Qualifications:
Actively enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Materials, Math, Computer Sciences/Software Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university. This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Experience, classroom knowledge or Exposure to electrical or mechanical test engineering and test support.
Familiarity with, or a willingness to learn, electrical and/or mechanical test equipment (such as bench top power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, force and linear measurement, and data acquisition systems.
Familiarity with, or a willingness to learn, automated test equipment and the Windows workstation environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and adaptable to multiple communication styles and needs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of CAD and simulation tools
