Systems Engineer Associate

Description:•Primary role is supporting the F-35 Prognostics & Health Management (PHM) Capability Integration Team
•Primary responsibility is to mature the F-35 PHM capability by understanding the aircraft subsystems design, PHM design, actual PHM performance, and required corrective actions to improve
•Tasks include engineering design and analysis to resolve issues with aircraft subsystems including those identified in Action Requests from customer aircraft operations
•Tasks and responsibilities will require interaction with Lockheed Martin & partner engineering teams as well as equipment suppliers and government customers

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.  This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in systems engineering, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or another related technical discipline.
Desired Skills:
Experience troubleshooting/maintaining systems
Aircraft system knowledge
Comfortable manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
Basic theoretical foundation in statistics and machine learning
Familiarity with standard applied machine learning and data mining techniques
Experience in data analysis with Python, Scala, R, and/or Java
Experience with large and/or complex data sets
Familiarity with SAP HANA, Hadoop / MapReduce, HUE, Pig, Hive, and Spark
Familiarity with data modeling, relational databases and SQL
Familiarity with SAP Business Objects and Tableau
Experience with Linux and complex computer networks
Good problem solving and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (i.e. the ability to communicate complex analysis with clarity and precision)
Passionate about empirical research and naturally inquisitive
