Description:Lockheed Martin Corporation's Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business is in search of an astute entry level professional to join our team in Orlando, FL. The engineer will support participate in all phases of the systems development lifecycle. The engineer will leverage RMS systems engineering processes and procedures while performing their respective systems engineering activities.
In this important role the systems engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program personnel. We are a matrixed engineering and technology organization so you will touch multiple programs over your career. Keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools will be encouraged.

The candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
The candidate will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies will be performed to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance to at least the Secret level.
The Locale: Orlando is a city in the Central Florida area. Central Florida is a great place to live with lots of attractive residential housing available. The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States. The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part. Orlando is home to the University of Central Florida (UCF), Walt Disney World, and SeaWorld. Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1 ¼ hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2. 1/2 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast.
Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college.
Minimum 3.0 GPA required
Thorough understanding of the engineering lifecycle (the "V").
Familiarity and understanding of systems engineering practices, systems analysis, systems modeling languages (SysML/UML), model based design, etc.
Strong interpersonal skills are required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment is required.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
