Systems Administrator

Description: Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Developing custom error, performance, and operational reports. Supports the Systems Analysts by coordinating and/or modifying user requirements in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Develops general and detailed documentation describing system specifications and operating instructions; and revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. Candidate will work in a production environment supporting systems requiring 24 x 7 availability and reliability. Candidate must have a good understanding of cloud and client/server operating environments.
Desired Skills: Experience administering Linux, Oracle and Windows environments. Experience developing and deploying SQL, MySQL, XML, and Perl queries and reports. Understanding of systems analysis and business requirements techniques and processes. Familiarity with Ibaset's Manufacturing Execution System Solumina; Operating Systems Red Hat Linux, Windows Server; Middleware Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Fuse, Windows systems and MS Office products. Certifications in Linux and Microsoft Server Administration

Quick Learner, ability work under limited supervision
Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or Certification in Systems Administration
