System Administrator

Description: This is a systems administrator on a classified operations contract at Schriever AFB, Colorado. The System Administrator preforms general account maintenance, group policy and anti-virus updates, preventative maintenance, and provides information assurance (IA) support. The duties include but are not limited to: VoIP Maintenance, Group Policy Updates, Updating Firewall configurations, Remapping partitions in SAN, Push/install new DAT files, Files maintenance and backups (including backups of Backup Exec, GEMX and mission data), Ghosting workstations (HW remove/replace and rebuild workstations), Server/workstation physical maintenance (cleaning and vacuuming, etc.) and Password updates.
Strong oral and written communications skills, along with the ability to work wi8thin operational working groups, are a must. Position requires frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques. Candidate must possess an ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Candidate must be able to perform under general supervision and follow established procedures. Work in reviewed for soundness of technical judgement and overall adequacy. Candidate conducts frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the Top Secret/SCI level.
Desired Skills: System Admin experience with Backup Exec
Functional experience with Juniper Firewalls
System Admin experience with Windows Active Directory
System Admin experience with Network storage systems (SAN server / NAS Server)
Current or Recent TS/SCI
Previous experience on Mojave or related programs
Experience with SUSE and RHEL Linux
Current Security + certification
Current DOD 8570 Certification
System Admin knowledge and experience on Dell/IBM platforms running Windows XP, 10, Server 2003, Server 2012
Experience with Linux
Experience with Cisco switches/routers
Experience with maintaining H/W servers
