Structural Engineer Sr

Description: Blades Structural Engineering group will performs various engineering tasks pertaining to structural analysis of helicopter rotor blades. An analyst performs hand, spreadsheet, or finite element analyses of various main and tail blade features and components to determine their structural adequacy for flight and tests. Analysis is focused around composite materials but metal components are common as well. Static and fatigue analysis is considered.
In addition aeroelastic codes are utilized to predict blade loads, performance, and dynamics.

This position will focus on using RCAS for various load and dynamic analysis of blades but will also require structural analysis of blades.
Desired Skills: Strong analytical and math skills
Previous experience with structural analysis of aerospace components
Fatigue analysis experience a plus
Working knowledge of composites and analysis of composites
Competency using RCAS or other similar aeroelastic analysis codes (Dymore or similar)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering BS degree
Minimum 4 years of Aerospace structural analysis experience.
