Responsibilities as a Sr RF & HPA Design Engineer include research, design and development of RF Power Amplifiers used in Radar Applications operating at UHF, L, S and X-Band. The individual will work and collaborate with other Senior Engineers and Domain Experts (SME) across various programs to achieve the design of power amplifier circuits and transmitter subsystems meeting such needs. The individual will conduct trade studies, perform multifaceted analyses, interface with vendors, test transmitter, power and analog circuitry and work inclusively with engineers of other disciplines (Mechanical, Systems, etc.). Develops technical solutions to complex
problems. The individual will support failure analysis, Material Review Board processing, discrepancy documentation, resolution and troubleshooting.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with IC and discrete transistor design and impedance matching networks. Experience with circuit design tools. Knowledge of Analog Circuits, design and analysis. Familiarity with Lab Equipment - O-Scopes, Spectrum Analyzers, DVMs, etc. Validated understanding of PCB design and construction. Ability to obtain and hold a DOD Security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience with tool, HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, and COMSOL.
High Power RF Testing.
T/R Module Design, with focus on Power Amplifiers.
U.S. Secret Security clearance.
EMI/EMC Experience: MIL-STD-461.
Basic Understanding of magnetics.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written/verbal skills.
Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
Demonstrated ability to act independently
Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills
