Description: The successful candidate will provide Information Assurance Engineering support to the Lockheed Martin C-130J MATS TSSC at Little Rock AFB. Major duties include Information Assurance Engineering and Department of Defense Risk Management Framework Process (RMF), and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Certification & Accreditation activities, coordination and supporting secure systems operations and maintenance. Candidate will be responsible for system security, testing and system accreditation activities. Develop and implement government approved information security procedures and plans for the operation of multiple networked and standalone classified and unclassified computers and coordinate government agency approvals. Candidate will conduct or oversee self-inspections and will maintain minimum compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), corporate directives, Pertinent Air Force/DoD Cybersecurity (formally Information Assurance or IA) instructions and other government contractual security commitments. The candidate will be responsible for writing, implementing, and maintaining system security plans; updating Contingency Plans and any Program Protection Plans required by government customers. The job also entails providing acquisition security advice and consultation to program managers. The successful candidates are expected to have a working knowledge of RMF and NIST IA/Cybersecurity requirements as well as technical understanding of hardening and mitigating a variety of hardware and software. The position requires an individual with a record of success as a team member/leader, and motivator. Professional presentations skills, written communications and excellent computer skills required. Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft, Linux operating Systems as well standard Microsoft and Adobe applications, be a self-starter, a disciplined worker and have a professional reputation for integrity. Desired Skills: System Security Plan Development.
Other relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, Linux).
Networking or System Administration experience.
Experience working in a simulator environments.
Current DoD Security Clearance.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain the minimum certification requirements as directed in DoD Directive 8570.01M to an IAM level 1, i.e. Comptia's Security+ certification or equivalent.
Experience supporting Cybersecurity activities as a Cybersecurity Engineer, Systems Administrator or Information Systems Engineer and be familiar with the NIST and RMF Certification & Accreditation processes.
Must be familiar with Hardening & Mitigation Processes as well as implementation of the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) as well as other industry security best practices.
Candidate will be required to evaluate vulnerability and security configuration assessment results and maintain and update the baseline security posture for accredited systems.
Excellent Information Technology and computer skills with a broad technical background having sound knowledge in routing, switching and other networking components.
Excellent organizational skills and works well both independently and in group settings.
Professional presentations skills and written communication.
Must be able to travel and work flexible hours.
Experience with Industry standard operating systems such as Microsoft, Linux, Apple, Cisco and others
Proficient in industry standard Office applications such as Microsoft and Adobe.
