Software Engineer Sr

Description: This senior level position is for a software development engineer on the AFRL Space BMC2 JEON team. Requires full software development life-cycle support, as well as working in an fast paced development environment.
Desired Skills: Experience with multi-threaded Java applications. Familiarity with Java Foundation Classes and GUI toolkits. Knowledge of server side/database development. Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking is highly desirable.

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
Space Domain, Red Hat Linux, Java Web Start, JEE, JBOSS, Java Message Service, Eclipse framework, Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services, Computation Parallelization framework (such as GridGain), TCPIP Socket programming, Active Directory, Database queries.
Software engineering and software development with strong Java experience. The candidate will have experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work effectively in a rapid paced, team environment.
This position requires:
-- Experience with Eclipse IDE
-- Strong understanding of Object Oriented programming
-- Strong understaning of Java
-- Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
