Software Engineer Senior

Description: The Mission Solutions Space Security Division within LM Space in King of Prussia, PA is looking for a Software Engineer with recent and relevant skills for the new Crater Lake program. We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced software engineer with C2/Mission Management/Planning & Scheduling/Orbital Mechanics and Methods expertise to join our fast-paced development effort and contribute to the success of an exciting and challenging mission. The selected candidate will design, develop and test in an agile development environment to create world-class software that satisfies program needs. They will coordinate with the USG and program teammates in order to create application capabilities and associated SW Engineering artifacts that lead to successful program milestones. As a member of our Agile (scrum) Software Development Team, responsibilities include participation in daily scrums, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives. Development responsibilities include software design, code and unit test, investigation into ad-hoc issues, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex mission problems quickly and independently. Experience with HTML5/JavaScript (preferably Node.JS experience), Java, Java EE, and Continuous Integration via GitLab/Git/and Related Toolsets is desired.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidates must possess a current TS clearance with an SSBI within the last 5 years.
Desired Skills: - Demonstrated experience working in Agile teams leveraging Scrum, Kanban or other methodologies and/or understanding of Agile development concepts
- Experience with test automation and continuous integration and deployment via Git, GitLab Continuous Integration Suite
- Experience with Open Architecture standards (e.g., OMS, UCI, etc.)
- Strong background developing /debugging and/or testing of web applications and web services
- Proven effective teaming skills (co-located and virtual)
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated proficiency (3+ years of experience) in software development
- Experience designing and implementing web-based User Interfaces (2+ years of experience) utilizing HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript (preferably Node.JS experience), Java, Java EE
- Experienced in common DevOps methodologies and knowledgeable in tools such as GitLab, Docker, Ansible etc.
- Current TS/SCI clearance with an SSBI within the last 5 years.
