Candidates pursuing bachelors or master's degrees in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or related disciplines should explore the opportunities available in the Baltimore Software Engineering organization.
We are actively seeking high performing candidates for software engineering positions working on our portfolio of machinery controls and automation systems and engineering projects. Our software engineers are involved in all aspects of project execution, from initial design, to software development, to verification of product performance. Our programs are designing and implementing complex and cutting-edge solutions to our military customers' urgent needs.
The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with software and systems engineers. Tasks for software engineers on these projects include: develop human-machine interfaces for controlling disparate machinery, collaborate on software architecture improvements for existing products, create software compatible with automated testing protocols, use Agile development methodologies to meet challenging schedules, and deploy software updates on in-service platforms.
These positions are located in Baltimore, MD.
Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor's level degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or related disciplines.
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming languages: C++ or Java
• Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance to at least the Secret level.
Desired Skills:
• Professional experience through internships or university lab
• Some experience defining complex software architectures for multi-layered programs
• Experience with automated build tools, such as Jenkins
• Experience using Agile development methodologies
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
