Description:Senior Engineers perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This position is for the 53K Heavy Lift program. This role includes leading an Avionics change board and maintaining an Avionics database. The lead will see to it that proposed changes are reviewed by the appropriate Avionics groups, that the impact is understood, and work to obtain the required approval from within Sikorsky, and where needed, the Customer.
Basic Qualifications:
Knowledge of Avionics systems in at least one of these areas: Communications, Navigation, Defense systems, Data Displays and Controls, Flight Management.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
