Senior Computer Systems Architect

Description: Position available to join a "hands-on" Systems Engineering team with the ability to help shape the future. Candidate must be well-rounded and able to contribute in many disciplines. Analyze and apply requirements, design standards, processes, estimating techniques, procedures and tools in a Software Systems Engineer / Architect role for a complex ground processing system. Knowledge of hardware and software requirement analysis, design, performance analysis, test approach and system integration is required. Will utilize Model Based Design tools and techniques to develop and capture new and existing subsystem architectures. Direct various SW/HW projects/teams to include responsibility for coordinating team cost, schedule and technical resources and task assignments. Will apply knowledge of software and hardware requirement analysis, flowdown and traceability support for medium-to large-scale system enhancements and recapitalizations. This position requires interaction, planning and coordination with Program management, customers, developers and SE peers on software and hardware design, documentation, development, test and operational site specific issues. It requires strong organizational, written and oral communication skills. This position does not require programming or detailed hardware design skills, although knowledge of the process and program language skills will be beneficial in the work environment.
Desired Skills: Ability to lead fast paced software lifecycle configuration and change management integration.

ROM/Firm proposal writing experience to include Basis of Estimate authoring.

Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.

Cost Account Management (CAM) experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics.

5 or more years of experience as a Systems Engineer developing & deploying complex ground systems.

Strong Program / Project Management and Organizational Skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Self-starter, detail and closure-oriented in task management.

Anticipates issues and risks in a complex system and is able to identify direct solutions.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
