Semiconductor Process Engineer / Santa Barbara, CA

Goleta, CA

Description:The semiconductor process engineer is responsible for sustaining/supporting equipment and Focal Plane Array process areas including but not limited to photolithography, wet/dry etching, thin film deposition, thinning, and dicing.

This person will work with development and integration engineers to adapt new processes and techniques into the manufacturing line as required. Data driven analysis will be required to assess the efficacy of continuous improvement activities for the purposes of implementation.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree. The position requires advanced knowledge of semiconductor device processing including photolithography, thin film deposition, wet and dry etching, and substrate thinning. General understanding of semiconductor device theory is required.

Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), familiar with DOE analysis, and have excellent engineering documentation skills and communication skills.

Facility requires special access so must be a U.S. Citizen
Desired Skills:
Advanced degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics or Bachelors degree with 3+ years of industry experience. Experience with automated semiconductor processing equipment for processes such as: chip packaging, 3D processing, automated optical inspection, photolithography, wet etching, dry etching, lift-off, thin film deposition, dicing, & electroplating.

Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams on projects of moderate complexity. Ability to interface effectively from the technician level to senior management.

Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and data analysis software such as MATLAB or JMP is a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $84,500 - $159,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
