Lockheed Martin Space is currently seeking a full-time early career Satellite Systems Engineer for Schriever SFB, CO. In this role you will:
• Become a subject matter expert in the Milsatcom Payload system with a focus on Crosslinks, work closely with and provide operational guidance and technical recommendations to the 4SOPS customer.
• Become a subject matter expert in the AEHF Payload system, work closely with and provide operational guidance and technical recommendations to the 4SOPS customer.
• Perform subsystem planning, test execution and data analysis to optimize and extend operational capability of the space element.
• Perform subsystem trending to proactively identify and resolve adverse subsystem trends.
• Perform mission planning and/or satellite orbit management analysis tasks.
• Analyze operations discrepancy reports and provide closure recommendations.
• Provide anomaly resolution support to minimize communications outages and recover spacecraft/payload capabilities.
• Support fielding of new spacecraft/payload software and patches.
• Develop a broad understanding of the program and provide technical support to areas beyond the assigned subsystem where applicable

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in STEM area, or equivalent experience/combined education or near end of degree
• Availability for 24/7/365 recall to site within 75 minutes
• Secret to start with upgrade to TS/SCI
Desired Skills:
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills are imperative, ability to apply advance technical principles and solve complex technical issues through innovation and ingenious ideas.
• Skills in MATLAB, Python, or STK
• Must be able to work both independently as well as part of a diverse integrated team of contractors, subcontractors, and Air Force personnel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Overtime, travel, and shift work as required.
