Satellite Software Engineer
Description: The Enterprise Flight Software (EFSW) Product Line team is looking for a professional software engineer to assist in the full life-cycle development of our spacecraft flight software solutions. We are an Agile team employing the Scrum framework to spec, design, code, and test embedded flight software for a variety of space flight vehicles and missions.
We are a highly collaborative team that prefers short development iterations and embraces a "fail-fast" mentality (fail fast, fail often, react quickly and learn from every failure). Individual initiative and an ability to handle adversity are expected characteristics of all team members.
Team members must be able to perform with minimal direction and are expected to take ownership of problems and drive solutions. Creative problem solving and an enthusiasm for software development are requisite. The majority of our software is written for embedded Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS), so an understanding of RTOS concepts and familiarity with VxWorks and/or RTEMS, specifically is highly desired. Experience with object oriented design (C++ in particular) are required.
Desired Skills: Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) software development experience
Agile development experience
POSIX development experience
Object Oriented software development experience
C++ and/or Python development experience
Familiarity with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
