Lockheed Martin is seeking high performing engineering students interested in developing their skills through a summer internship for Reliability and System Safety Engineering positions in Orlando, FL!
Candidate will be responsible for assisting Reliability and System Safety Engineers for ensuring that the products developed at Lockheed Martin and sold to our customer are reliable and safe.
The primary job responsibility will be that of performing Reliability and System Safety Analyses per contract requirements. The results of these analyses will be documented in technical reports.
The candidate will employ design analysis techniques which will be performed on the engineering product
Execution of Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
Support to Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis
Develop System Safety for environmental compliance, prohibited materials, hazardous materials management, and pollution prevention in accordance with MIL-STD-882
Independently analyzes and recommends safety features and controls for system design, software, training and procedures to mitigate or eliminate hazards and ensure hazard controls are properly implemented and verified
Candidate will interface with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering disciplines on a daily basis and should have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn.
Current enrollment in an accredited engineering or related degree program
Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office applications including a high level of proficiency with Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships
Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology Degree
Ability to make formal presentations to large groups and be able to interact well in a team atmosphere with engineers, subcontractors, program managers and customers during the investigation, documentation and resolution of system failures
Effective analytical problem solving skills, the ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy, be able to learn and work with software tools
Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with minimal oversight
Reliability and/or System Safety experience
System and/or software engineering experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Familiar with Military specifications/standards
