Martin Space Operations team is where you want to be! The Operations organization is comprised of more than 6,000 dedicated professionals deployed to company and customer sites throughout the country. Operations touches all of LM Space programs and products managing our supply chain; producing, assembling, testing and transporting mission critical hardware; ensuring safety, quality and security; integrating enterprise plans; maintaining and improving our facilities;
while ensuring program performance. All of the essential
elements that ultimately result in the delivery of spacecraft, missiles and instruments to our customers. Every day, the work we do makes a difference. Review work instructions based on engineering drawings, requirements documents, sketches, inclusive of CAD system engineering. Prepare paper and electronic documentation on nonconforming hardware. Interpret drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications and standards. Work from manufacturing work instructions and provide manufacturing floor surveillance.
Ability to obtain Secret required for this role.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering,
Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
Industrial/Manufacturing Technology, Chemistry,
Physics or other related Science or Technical/Engineering
degree from an accredited college/university.
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
SAP/ERP experience, Green Belt training/certification,
Cause and Effect Analysis skills. Statistical Process Control
(SPC) and reporting quality metrics experience. Have an
understanding of mechanical engineering requirements
including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Familiar with AS9100. May be certified in lean and six
sigma quality engineering methodologies. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated strong verbal
and written communication skills as this position may
require interaction with external customers / suppliers.
