Quality Engineer supporting various program operations in Ocala. Specific tasks include:
Reviews documentation related to manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
Supports program with analyses and reviews of quality data (e.g. yields, rework, scrap, non-conformance aging).
Analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures responsible parties meet commitments.
Participates, as needed, in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.
Evaluate the implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.
Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.
Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Quality Engineering or Technical/Engineering related discipline from an accredited University.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Must display good communication skills: oral, written (including technical writing), listening, and presentation.
Must have the ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize tasks based on importance
