Owego, NY- Software Engineer Asc

Seeking candidates with a BS or MS degree in computer science, computer/electrical engineering or related discipline. Tasks span the software engineering discipline (requirements support, design, code, test) in support of multiple programs and domains. Potential applications include data management software, information technology/management, user interface software, machine control software, and optical character recognition software for use on mail/material/information handling automation systems; embedded avionics and/or mission software applications; unmanned systems flight and ground station software; device drivers, board support packages, function test SW, test equipment and/or built in test software.

The successful candidate must be flexible, motivated, details-focused, team-oriented and demonstrate a strong work ethic along with the ability to multi-task. Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Applicable skills include using C/C++/C#, Java, Ada, LabView/LabWindows and Teststand.

Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills required.

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Experience with WindRiver/VxWorks/Tornado, Green Hills Integrity/MULTI and/or Linux operating systems desired. Familiarity with object-oriented analysis/design and agile development is beneficial. Experience with Motorola/Freescale Power PC and Intel processors, TCP/IP, PCI, VME, 1553, ARINC, FLASH, Ethernet, serial I/O, internal/external timers, EEPROM, FPGAs and graphics hardware desirable
