Numerical Control (NC) Programmer

Description:Numerical Control (NC) Programmer working in Dynamics Components Machining Center to fabricate titanium, steel, magnesium, and aluminum components. The individual will be responsible for programming lathes, milling machines (four and five axis), and mill/turn centers. Investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Develop new NC Programs and modify existing programs for increased efficiency. Utilize Catia V5 and Vericut software to create and verify cutter toolpaths. Choose appropriate cutting tools and work with cutter engineering to pursue current cutter technologies and innovations. Work with Tool Design to ensure NC fixtures are appropriately designed to meet NC machining requirements. Conduct NC Tryouts at machine along with hourly NC operator
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
Desired Skills:
Previous manufacturing or machining background
3D NC Programming experience (CATIA preferred)
Good communication and time management skills
