Network Security Engineer

Lockheed Martin has an excellent opportunity within our Corporate Information Security team for a network security engineering position reporting to the Lockheed Martin Corporate Information Security, Information Assurance Engineering Manager. The open position could be located in any of the following United States offices locations: Denver Colorado, Fort Worth Texas or Valley Forge Pennsylvania.

This Information Assurance Engineer level position works for Lockheed Martin Enterprise Operations (EO), Corporate Information Security, Intelligence and Operations (EO, CIS, I&O) directly supporting all Lockheed Martin's unclassified business areas. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide hands-on, 7 X 24 X 365 operational capabilities to the Lockheed Martin network security infrastructure across the globe. Security operations activities include successfully maintaining network security appliances, internet perimeter security systems, cloud security, infrastructure security controls, security documentation, diagrams and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
= Demonstrated understanding of firewall technologies
= Demonstrated understanding of TCP/IP Networking experience
= Ability to work a flexible, off hours schedule to accommodate customer maintenance windows
= Willingness to carry an on-call cell phone after hours
Desired Skills:
= Firewall knowledge or hands on experience with Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco or Juniper Networks
= Experience with the Linux Operating System
= Understanding or hands on experience with Cloud Service vendor technology including AWS, Azure and Google
= Ability to obtain a DOD Secret level clearance
= Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in math, computer science, physics, information assurance or engineering
= Excellent written and verbal communication skills
= Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
= Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a teaming environment
