Mfg Methods Engineer

Responsibilities include assisting in design of tooling, writing floor documentation, purchase of capital equipment, development of assembly processes, and training of equipment operators. Position requires the ability to set up new processes based on engineering protoypes and transition to production ready processes.
Desired Skills: Experience programming/running automated equipment a plus.
Mechanical assembly of large assembly structures using cranes, lifts and hoists.
Mechanical assembly of electronic assemblies.
Interface with suppliers to provide proper assembly methods and defect analysis.
Knowledge of welding and brazing certification procedures and performance qualifications a plus.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles to Plan, coordinate, and implement multiple process improvement projects
Able to work independently to instruct and train assembly personnel.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
Knowledge of Manufacturing Transition to Production. Personal computer skills including standard Microsoft Office programs. Familiarity with tool design concepts. Able to write concise, complete process instructions. Ability to work and communicate with design engineering, procurement, program management office and manufacturing personnel. Experience with Engineering development models.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
