In this role you will be responsible for activities, including requirements allocation, concept evaluations, trade studies, layouts, preliminary solid modeling, development of solid models in conjunction with the performance of all necessary analyses for these designs including materials evaluations, propulsion, and flight mechanics assessments. will also be provided to producibility studies, cost trades, for long term operations and maintenance, and development planning activities.
Your duties will include responsibility for the , manufacture, procurement and test for the propulsion system components and assemblies. This job requires coordinating with customers, suppliers, test facilities, and other related fields including manufacturing, subcontracts, quality, structure , analysis, systems engineering, and integration with affected subsystems and facilities. Other duties may include,
- Subsystem Integration
- Assist on the conceptual development, requirements definition, and of propulsion components
- Perform trade studies to select the appropriate solution
- Develop product performance specifications, statements of work, and supplier data requirements for components
- Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses to systems and components
- Provide requirements flow-down, verification, and maintain technical baseline at the suppliers
- Ability to work on a multi-disciplined team performing structural trades, detailed /analysis activity and performance and maintenance assessments of operational systems.
- dynamic test definitions, requirements development, test monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis efforts.
- Provide user documentation and recommendations to data packages to peer and customer reviews, present analysis data to engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and review.

Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Requirement development and management
• Experience with mechanical CAD modeling in CREO or equivalent
• Solid understanding of mechanical and propulsion engineering principals
• Desire and ability to own technical challenges through solution
• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly; US citizenship required
Desired Skills:
•Experience with fluid mechanics and analysis
•Propulsion component development and system integration experience
•Knowledge of GD&T
•Hands on Hardware experience
•User of CREO CAD software
•Experience developing Proposal documents and Basis of Estimates (BOE's)
•Additive manufacturing experience
•Familiar with for Manufacturability (DFM)
•Flight Hardware experience
•Experience with supply chain management and subcontracts
•Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, quality...)
• Willingness to mentor junior engineers
• Active TS/SCI with Poly
