Mechanical Engineer Staff / Subsystems / Advanced Programs

LM ADP is looking for an experienced Subsystems Engineer to lead the supplier/subcontractor management for the development of a suite of aircraft subsystems for a new aircraft design. This person will work with the subsystems lead across multiple mechanical and electrical systems to coordinate the supplier selection process and subsequent supplier technical management. The systems you will support include electrical power, hydraulics, fuel, ECS, and others. The candidate will work with system leads and suppliers from source selection through maturation and hardware delivery and checkout.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicant must posses a Secret Security Clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.
Desired Skills: Experience with systems level trade studies.

Experience with the technical management of suppliers.

Experience generating Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), Specifications, and other similar documents.

Leadership of teams, especially high performing small teams.
-- Bachelor's or above degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

-- Experience from conceptual design through first flight of multiple aircraft subsystems, such as electrical power, hydraulics, fuel, Environmental Control Systems (ECS), landing gear, air data.
