Assist multi-functional integrated product development team in a radar system/subsystem design, development, modeling, simulation, integration and test. Work closely as a member of the team to establish a solid technical baseline through tradeoffs and design-to-cost techniques. Implement radar algorithms into radar simulation. Conduct radar or system performance analyses. May participate in field demonstration and test, and subsequent analysis and evaluation of test data.
Desired Skills: Radar systems experience with ballistic missile defense and anti-air warfare challenges. Strong experience with modeling and simulation tool development and analysis. Experienced with techniques used in target discrimination, target tracking, data analytics, or decision systems. Experience in signal processing and image processing techniques. Experience performing trades studies, requirements development - analysis, derivation, allocation, and documentation, engineering design and development, software development processes and Systems and software modeling. Familiarity with design, tools and environments for radar systems and subsystems for performance analysis and modeling. Familiarity or comfort with the Agile framework for project teams. Good troubleshooting and analysis skills. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
BS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent. 2+ years of engineering experience in modeling and simulation development, algorithm design development and/or performance analysis. Proficient in the use of Matlab and C++ or equivalent high level computing language. Strong mathematics background in linear algebra, statistical analysis and signal processing. Demonstrated experience in algorithm development, analysis, and one or more of the following areas: sensor (radar) system analysis, design, modeling, simulation, integration, test. Qualified candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship.
