Manufacturing Supervisor / Oldsmar

Description: Manages multiple areas of manufacturing to include cable assembly, wire cut/prep, and subassembly. Responsible for coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Will be responsible for manufacturing performance of programs being executed in the supervised workcell. Will also lead Lean/Six Sigma and affordability initiatives to drive process improvements through the factory as well as lead an operating excellence team (OET).
Desired Skills: Prior Operations/Manufacturing experience
Ability to evaluate manufacturing defects, determine root causes, and develop concrete corrective and preventative actions.
Ability to lead a team, managing multiple simultaneous priorities in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated understanding of Lean/Six Sigma principles.
Full Spectrum Leadership
SAP / Solumina experience
Operating Excellence Team (OET) experience preferred
In depth understanding of Flow lines
Experience with implementing and managing flow lines
6S knowledge and willingness to sustain improvements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior leadership experience, particularly in areas of cable assembly.
LM21 or Lean or Six Sigma training; Greenbelt certification
Technical understanding of manufacturing requirements in a Mil/DOD environment
