Manufacturing Planner Intern

Description:Calling all College Students! Come join Lockheed Martin, Missiles Fire and Control in Ocala, Florida for a Summer Manufacturing Planner Internship.
The Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that builds circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1400 employees and provides products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

Candidate must be pursuing a 4 year Supply Chain Management degree or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Will work on assigned program to provide status of hardware, monitor material for timely release to factory, maintain and monitor all control metrics, and aide in meeting all scheduled deliveries.
Will model personal excellence through responsibility and accountability for their actions and assigned task.

This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters program pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline.

Desired Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Experience or classroom knowledge of implementing Production Operations management, Supply Chain Management, and/or Logistics Management.

Strong written & verbal communication skills

American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification.

Member of the Production & Operations Management Society.

Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
