Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Description:Help drive continuous improvement in assigned build area.
Partner with build area leadership to identify high priority improvement opportunities. Collaborate with all key areas (especially the mechanics) to implement process improvements that positively impact key business results.

The Production Operations Intern Program is intended to develop individuals capable of becoming productive members of a technical/engineering team within the Operations disciplines. Disciplines such as Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Material Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities Operations/Engineering. Selected candidates will participate in training opportunities in communication skills and professional development. Candidates for this position are selected while actively pursuing an Engineering/Supply Chain/Operations Management related bachelor's degree and assessed by management as possessing requisite skills and abilities for development.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial)
Desired Skills:
Excellent writing and communication skills
Familiarity with Lean / Six Sigma manufacturing principles
Familiarity with Project Management and/or Change Management
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
