Manufacturing Engineer

Description: Candidate will work closely with a team of engineers in the design, development and set-up of a manufacturing area. Duties will include: facilitating lay-outs, tooling recommendations, processing documentation and validation and planning development. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing process and procedures including fabrication, assembly, machining, coatings and electrical in several disciplines including composites, metallics, machining, bonded assemblies and installations.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Salary $61,000.00 to $81,000.00 depending upon skills and experience.
Desired Skills: Shop floor support experience
Working knowledge of one or more organizations including: Operations, IT, Planning, Production Control, ERP, MRP, Quality or systems integration.
AutoCAD experience
Catia V5 experience
Demonstrated knowledge of tooling, machining and fabrication.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with other team members including Operations, Production Control, Quality Assurance, IT, Planning and Engineering.
Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plan to limit failures in the future.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- DoD Secret Clearance within 6 years of investigation
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling and production planning.
- Experience working with engineering blueprints, process specifications and facility lay-outs is required.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement.
