Then you should join Lockheed Martin Space's Optical Payload Center of Excellence (OPCoE) to support electronic hardware development for space applications as an Optical Engineer.

Our employees design, analyze, and test optical and electro-optical systems and components. They Conduct research and development into phases of physical optics and geometric optics, lasers, laser characteristics, laser maintenance, and broadband optical sources. They then apply that research of complex optical systems to achieve desired optical manipulations.

We have facilities located Sunnyvale & Palo Alto, CA and Louisville & Waterton, CO.

OPCoE primarily hires Optical Engineers, Electro-Optical Engineers, Opto-Mechanical Engineers, and Signal/Image Processing Engineers. We are looking for people with experience or expertise in optical payloads, lasers, remote sensing, high energy lasers, and other related systems.

Basic Qualifications:
• Current student or graduate of the University of Arizona
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Completion of optical programs and/or curriculum at U of Arizona
• Prior experience in the aerospace and defense industry
• Current or prior security clearance
