Description: Integrated Support Software Product Line Manager
This individual will lead a team of highly motivated software development project managers, IPT Leads, and subject matter experts who create logistics software products that exceed customer expectations.
Manage the development of projects that extend customer and Sikorsky capabilities, increase efficiency, and reduce operating costs.
Direct resources towards execution of strategic goals established by the Director of Supportability & Training. Coordinate with other department leaders for achievement those goals.
Respond to Requests for Proposals, Requests for ROMs, Requests for Information. Prepare DFAR-compliant estimates and related documents. Negotiate with external customers regarding proposal inputs.
Monitor technical, cost, and schedule metrics for multiple projects. Identify and mitigate ISS project concerns, risks, and issues. Identify and pursue opportunities.
Coordinate with Intellectual Property and Legal organizations to identify, assert, and protect IP in existing and new products.
Interface with New Business, Marketing, and Multimedia representatives for the preparation of product marketing literature and marketing briefs. Coordinate branding requirements for new and maturing products.
Oversee technical aspects of the department's product development efforts.
Identify, monitor, and respond to emerging technical trends and products.
Ensure proper execution of contracted deliverables.
Maintain quality and delivery metrics in support of department goals.
Meet with internal and external customers/stakeholders to identify product requirements and new business opportunities.
Demonstrate products to military and commercial customers as well as internal stakeholders.
Initiate market feedback surveys related to product and team performance, analyze results, and institute corrective actions for low scores.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary product teams to address requirements and integration issues. These departments include Diagnostics Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, and Software Configuration Management.
Coordinate with internal Supportability & Training stakeholders regarding the introduction of new products and the sustainment of existing products.
Coordinate execution and renewal of software licensing agreements/LTAAs with Legal, IP, and Global Sustainment leadership. Initiate new LTAAs.
Manage staffing requirements and manpower loading for the organization.
Prepare executive-level briefs related to program status and product functionality.
Present briefs at Technical Interchange Meetings, Program Reviews, Strategy Reviews, Maintenance Requirements Steering Group meetings.
Lead process control, process improvement, product documentation, and quality initiatives.
Manage supplier relationships and supplier development efforts.
Interface with Supply Management, Procurement, and Strategic Outsourcing organizations for the execution of offloaded work.
Distill SAC/LM policy changes into instructions for staff.
Support development of new and modified software tools and utilities.
Desired Skills: Financial reporting and control
Knowledge of SAP, Primavera, wInsight, Contract Operating System, Sharepoint
Familiarity with military and commercial maintenance operations
Familiarity with SCRUM/Agile software development
Familiarity with CMMI
Knowledge of requirements analysis and flowdown, Systems Engineering, Systems Security, and Information Assurance, and Cybersecurity processes a plus
Process control, continuous process improvement/value-stream mapping skills a plus
Aircraft maintenance and maintenance systems experience a plus
Exposure to XML, SGML, Web applications, and graphic technologies a plus
Exposure to Sikorsky products a plus
BS/BA in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
Master's Degree in a technical or related discipline
Minimum six years of experience in project management, software development, and/or IT management
Strong project management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
MS Project/scheduling tools
IT / software development / software development life cycle skills
Knowledge of Earned Value Management System
Knowledge of software testing methodologies
