Industrial Engineer Asc - Troy, AL

Description:Candidate will be responsible for conducting classic Industrial Engineering activities such as time and motion studies, facility and workstation design, process improvement activities, knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles, work measurements and time standards, productivity and performance management, capacity resource analysis, simulation modeling, cost analysis and estimating. Candidate will be a member of one or more Performance Management Teams (PMT) and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and capturing cost savings. Candidate may be responsible for participating in the Statistical Process Control (SPC) and On-Machine Gauging (OMG) activities in manufacturing areas. Candidate will conduct frequent presentations to manufacturing management. Candidate must be customer-focused with good oral and written communication skills. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work effectively with a team and all levels of management. Candidate should be a self-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and results.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas/solutions to all levels of management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in MS Project software.

Ability to obtain an Interim Security Clearance, which is required prior to start
Desired Skills:
Minimum 3.0 GPA Requirement

Understanding of classical Industrial Engineering tools/techniques and application of these tools/techniques.

Proficiency in MS Access Database creation/ maintenance.

LEAN Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt training/certification.

Relevant work experience in a technical/manufacturing environment.

Experience generating/implementing process improvements.

Demonstrated leadership skills.
