Flight Test Instrumentation Intern

Under direct supervision, candidate will support build and install of instrumentation/data collection systems for Flight Test Programs which provide the measurements required by the Engineering Department and/or contractual obligations. Candidate will assist in the preparation, installation, check-out and operation of custom instrumentation systems. Other responsibilities include general lab/shop organization, administrative tasks, and hands on installs of thermocouples, accelerometers and a variety of other electronic components/sensors, reading wiring drawings, troubleshooting equipment measurement anomalies and construction of harnesses and electrical devices. This assignment will include on-the-job training on ground and flight instrumentation efforts and instrumentation system maintenance.

Basic Qualifications
Pursing an Associate's degree or higher in Electronics Technician from an accredited junior college.

Desired skills
Knowledge or experience with installing and replacing strain gauges, accelerometers, and thermocouples desired.

Familiarity with electronic tools such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.- Experience reading wiring diagrams and interpreting schematics- Experience with harness builds, connector pin-outs, crimping and cable installation.

Must be currently enrolled in a college or university and have completed one year towards college degree.
