Flight Instructor / Simulation / Subject Matter Expert / F-35 / Nellis

Description:F-35 Contractor Pilot SME. Supports military pilots maintaining qualification level in the Pilot Training Device by executing approved pilot training syllabus, upgrade, and tactics training. Instructor will provide instruction using the Full Mission Simulator (FMS) and/or Deployable Mission Rehearsal Trainer (DMRT). The instructor will primarily operate the Instructor Operating Station (IOS) and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting pilot training, tactics development and employment. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to fulfill F-35 training and continuation objectives. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed.
This is a contingency position for FY21 awaiting funding approval.
Basic Qualifications:
Top Secret security clearance. Current security investigation within 6 years from the investigation close date. Candidate must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) certification. Candidate must have a minimum of 1000 hours Fighter flight time in fourth or fifth generation fighter aircraft. Candidate must have operational experience with advanced sensor systems and the latest weapons inventory. Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral and written communication abilities, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction. Candidate must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule.
Desired Skills:
Experience with F-35 pilot training curriculum
F-35 system knowledge
F-35 Full Mission Simulator experience
