F-35 Quality Assurance Inspector
Description: This position is part of the team supporting F-35 aircraft maintenance at MCAS Beaufort, SC, and will be responsible for program and aircraft quality assurance.
Requires the ability to evaluate process compliance, write/review Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis, validate quality processes, responses and plans.
Requires experience in the inspection of aircraft ground handling/servicing, component removal/replacement, scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTD) execution.
Must have inspection experience in Aerospace Ground equipment AGE/GSE, Hazardous Waste Management programs, tool & FOD industry standards, equipment calibration procedures and general security procedures.
Requires the ability to identify/understand non-conformities as they relate to safety-of-flight inspections, procedural breakdowns and/or program (process) audits.
Requires an ability to conduct incident/mishap investigation audits, prepare quality documentation, create reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information; trend identification including failed process, recalls, corrective actions and validations.
Must be able to work any shift as required to support customer.
Must be able to deploy to support customer needs.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills: 1-2 years 5th Generation (F-35, F-22) Fighter Aircraft experience in maintenance and/or quality assurance role.
Working Knowledge of Required Screening Point (RSP) procedures for customer submitted Action Requests (AR).
Full understanding of USMC (CNAFINST) 4790 series and requirements associated in aircraft ground operations and maintenance procedures.
Experience in Process Surveillance (OSEP) and/or the USMC Computerized Self Evaluation Checklist (CSEC) program and processes with knowledge of the operating associated data base.
Possess solid familiarity of International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001:2008 & AS9100 aviation standards and practical experience with Quality Management (QMS) internal audit processes--formal training preferred.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions, system schematics/blueprints, and technical policy/maintenance instructions.
Capable of conducting teleconference and/or briefing (presentation) to management/customer
Excellent organizational, administration, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2010).
Must have F35, ALIS experience.
Must have aircraft Quality Control experience (on any type, model, series).
Have a minimum USMC Level 4 MATMEP rating or USAF 7-Level skill rating, or equivalent experience.
Must have 8-10 years recent (within the past 5 years) fighter aircraft on/off aircraft maintenance experience
