This position is co-located with the Q-53 radar customers in their offices at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Regular travel between Aberdeen, MD and Syracuse, NY is expected.
The AN/TPQ-53 Program Management Office is seeking an experienced professional to join our team. Embedded inside our primary customers' - US Army- program office, the selected individual operates as the face of LM, representing the entire product portfolio, and is the "voice of the customer" back to the team in Syracuse, NY.
Will be responsible for being current on customer and LM priorities, plans and issues. Serves as a communication conduit and driver to move the programs forward by working with multiple stakeholders both internally and face to face with customer stakeholders on a daily basis. Requires an independent thinker, operating with the vision of the Program Director, with the ability to manage multiple program priorities, and strategies simultaneously. The job also requires someone who can self-motivate and operate with little to no direct oversight. Will be required to build rapport with customers to move them in desired directions that are best for both the US Army and Lockheed Martin. This position requires selected individual to be the voice of the customer, capable of of communicating the state of affairs within the customer's program office to provide awareness of the priorities and hurdles the customer is facing.
The job requires the ability to ignore detractors, and push objectives forward, even when it becomes uncomfortable. The ability to recognize opportunities for the business is also key. The performance of the position will have significant impact on the programs overall performance.
