Electronics Component Engineer Associate
Description: Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) technical engineering assignment. Participates in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of electronic, electrical, electromechanical (EEE) and mechanical devices/parts. Will engage in engineering configuration control, standardization, and reviewing and evaluating EEE parts documentation such as procurement specifications and test data. Successful candidate will initially perform a variety of duties for the PMP Standardization group; Assignments will include Research, Validation and Maintenance of data in the relevant databases for PMP commodities and specifications used on engineering drawings; address technical evaluation of manufacturing and Parts issues/concerns; Point of Contact (POC) with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement in resolving part issues; creating and revising internal standard operating procedures for the group, technical evaluation of manufacturing issues/concerns. Additional duties may include creation/review, coordination and revision of SSC Parts, Materials, and Process specifications.
Desired Skills: Be familiar with electronics and/ or semiconductor physics and operation of devices such as integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors is highly desired.
Specific expertise in active and passive EEE parts.
Ability to multi-task, handle shifting priorities and timeline pressure to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of engineering specification requirements and interpretations is desirable.
Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical design, production/manufacturing, materials and processes is a plus.
Knowledge of configuration management principles.
Must be able to work well virtually with other sites.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and SharePoint is highly desired.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics, or related background, or field of study.
Formal coursework, training, and/or experience in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical components and circuits.
Good writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Works well in a team environment.
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
