Electronic Field Engineer Asc

Description: Individual will work as part of a team in shifts providing 24hr flight support; interpretation of surveillance systems products; O&M on aerostat avionics, acoustic sensors, ground sensors; operation of EO/IR sensor payloads, radar systems, military and telemetry radios. Conducts preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment; as well as O&M of aerostats and mooring systems in support of the Persistent Surveillance Systems-Tethered (PSS-T) program.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The physical demands of this position and the operational requirements of the equipment can be substantial. Position often requires working in extreme weather conditions, at heights greater than 15 feet, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

This assignment supports permanent sites in the United States. Possible TDY assignments may be required as needed to support CONUS and OCONUS mission requirements.

This position is contingent upon program need and will be filled upon direction from our customer.
Desired Skills: O&M of C4ISR systems;
Experience with IT network systems administration, configuration, and repair;
Experience with server (RAID) hardware troubleshooting and repair;
Experience with server (RAID) administration and control;
A+ and Security+ certifications;
Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional or Civilian/Military Equivalent;
Photographic/Image interpretation;
Experience/certifications in lead soldering;
Ability to read engineering drawings/blueprints;
Familiarity with military operations, acronyms, and military chain of command;
Effective oral and written communication skills;
O&M of mechanical equipment to include one or more of the following:
• Hydraulic systems
• Aerial lift
• Forklift
• Industrial generator sets
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Current or active DoD Secret clearance required;
O&M of electronic equipment to include one or more of the following:
• Video distribution systems
• Navigation systems
• Avionics systems
• Radio communications equipment
• Radar systems
• RF telemetry systems
• EO/IR gimbaled camera systems
• Fiber optic transmission systems (analysis, splicing, termination)
• Electrical and data cable terminations
• Test measurement and diagnostics equipment (TMDE)
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics;
Proficient with common computer/software operations to include, but not limited to, the MS Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
