Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, domestic and international purposes.
Responsible for supporting senior engineers in performing electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of complex radar systems and their electronic components. Will support design, development and test of receiver and exciter subsystems used in ground based, airborne and shipboard radar and electronic warfare applications with a specific focus on RF and Mixed Signal Circuits. The individual will conduct trade studies, perform dynamic analyses, interface with vendors, test RF and Mixed Signal circuitry and interact with engineers of other disciplines (Mechanical, Systems, etc.).
Application of Electromagnetics; RF theory. Proficient in RF modeling and simulation. Effective written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office tools. Understanding of EMI/EMC Effects, proficiency with RF measurement techniques and equipment. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Effective communication and organization skills. Pspice, HFSS, CST MW Studio, FEKO, ADS, AWR Microwave Office, SystemVue, Zuken, Altium and/or MATLAB, LabVIEW. Experience with RF Power Amplifier development, impedance matching and optimization.
