Generate and/or maintain Combat System Cable Block Diagrams (CBD), Cable Installation / Interconnection Drawings (CIID); including Cable Running Sheets (CRS), Minimum Data Sets (MDS) and Cable Impact Statements (CIS).
Review Combat System vendor design documentation for completeness and compatibility with prescribed ship builder specification, standards and requirements.
Perform the integration of Combat System cabling design documentation into shipboard and land site cabling Technical Data Products (TDP).
Conduct performance testing and qualification of electrical interface components.
Position could require intermittent travel to shipyards (incl. international), land based test facilities and other locations to meet customer needs and mission requirements.
BS or BA in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, System Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience.
Intermediate level of knowledge of both military and commercial electrical interface protocols, Combat System integration criteria, equipment interaction methods, major signal flows, as well as, USN and commercial Shipbuilding Specifications.
Good understanding of commercial technologies and specifications for digital, video, and communication systems.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Strong knowledge of military shipboard cables and connectors. Strong knowledge of military specifications. Strong knowledge of various network types, current commercial trends in this field, as well as the cabling materials required to support. Navy Land Based test facility experience a plus.
